With over 25 years of healthcare consulting experience, Bob is regarded as a consulting partner of choice for strategic and operational advisory services and is often sought after to provide interim management leadership.

Prior to forming I3HCC, Bob was a founding partner of MedHorizons Consulting Group, and prior to that a partner with Arthur Andersen LLP. While at Andersen, he was responsible for forming the Mid-Atlantic healthcare consulting practice. With a team of over 100 professionals (including nurses and physicians), Bob established and led the Operations Improvement, Supply Chain, and Comprehensive Health Management Practices. Bob has led a multitude of complex strategic and operational engagements including:

  • Led clinical and IT staff, and vendor personnel in process and interface mapping of current-state and future-state clinical services in a multi-hospital health system. The maps were used in conjunction with the implementation of new clinical software and associated process improvement.
  • Led the design and planning process for developing a business intelligence application to gather and report key performance indicators for a major academic health system. The process involved more than 15 clinical departments, finance, IT and vendor personnel.
  • Led several comprehensive operations improvement efforts focused on enhancing the clinical and non-clinical services of healthcare providers. Two of his clients were subsequently named in the Top 100 hospitals in the U.S.
  • Development of a clinical configuration plan to support a newly merged two-hospital health system;
  • Numerous interim leadership roles to improve operational performance, close targeted business units while preserving corporate assets and vendor relationships, and provide strategic guidance to fledgling departments.
